In order to facilitate the distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine to the people of Bangladesh, the ICT Division of Bangladesh has developed a web portal and mobile application for the initial registration process. This initiative, known as Surokkha, allows individuals to register for vaccination in Bangladesh.
Individuals who wish to register for the COVID-19 vaccine must provide either their National Identification Number or Birth Certificate Number for verification purposes. The following information is required for registration:
- National Identification Number/Birth Certificate Number
- Date of Birth
- Mobile Phone Number
- Desired Address for Vaccination Center
- User Consent for receiving the vaccine
The application verifies users by sending an OTP (One-Time Password) to their provided mobile phone number, allowing them to complete the registration process. Registered individuals can also check the status of their application, download their vaccine card, and obtain their vaccination certificate.
